Max Segal P.E.
Mr. Segal has 7 years in building systems engineering design, possessing the knowledge and skills for producing high quality, cost effective projects. His experience includes complex energy plants; full facility controls systems, sequencing and optimization, energy analysis, sanitary, storm, and potable water systems as well as fire sprinkler and fire alarm engineering. Mr. Segal has extensive experience in AutoCAD, MS Office, equipment selection software, load and energy modeling, hydraulic calculation, project specification writing and editing, and project scope resolution.
Mr. Segal started his career as an entry-level design engineer, and quickly grew his responsibilities to cover project management, including improving company standards, meeting project deadlines, coordination with architects and overseeing/training technical personnel. Project scope ranged from simple DX system replacement to complicated central plant design and thermal energy storage.
Mr. Segal has designed extensive systems for educational, institutional, commercial, residential, industrial and retail facilities. His experience with hydronic design, and his dedication and commitment to quality on every project has enabled him to set the foundation for successful projects that are completed on time and within budget. He has also developed a strong knowledge of construction practices and problem solving techniques and he maintains a productive relationship with facility engineers, contractors and code officials. Mr. Segal also serves as permit review authority for Sarasota County School Board and local Fire Districts.
Phil Feikema P.E.
Mr. Feikema has exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong project management background. His area of expertise also includes personnel and employee management, technical systems include building power, lighting, fire alarm, and information systems design.
Mr. Feikema has over 15 years in electrical engineering design including 10 years of experience designing and building custom electrical motor controls for industrial, commercial, and HVAC applications. He produces and supervises electrical designs from concept through construction administration, incorporating flexibility and quality that ensures client satisfaction. His experience with short circuit analysis, equipment coordination studies, and critical power applications provides insight that strives for engineering excellence and client satisfaction. His engineering specialties include efficient lighting design, paralleling switchgear, high and low voltage distribution, fire alarm and uninterruptible power systems. Mr. Feikema’s project management experience includes building delivery methods such as construction management, design-build and hard bid.
